Position Title: 4 positions Youth Monitors One-year terms
Classification: Part-Time 1. Mon-Fri 2-8pm, 2. Mon-Fri 3-8pm, 3. Tues-Sat 12-8pm Saturday/3-8pm weekday, 4. Tues-Sat 12-8pm Saturday/3-8pm weekday.
Location: McGregor Community Site
Salary: Subject to Qualifications
General Responsibility:
The Youth Program and the McGregor Community Site is looking for two Youth Monitors to work as part of a team that will provide direction and facilitate activities for youth. These team members will provide a safe place for youth to play and learn and provide supervision of children/youth. The Youth Monitors members will be supported by the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre staff.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and alongside others
- Ability to relate to adults, youth and children
- Past experience in making schedules for activities to be implemented to children and youth.
- To provide leadership and learning opportunities for the youth
- Provide team building activities to enhance confidence within the youth
- Ability to take initiative and be self motivated
- Be a positive Role model
- Be reliable, respectful, dependable and trustworthy
- Having a Manitoba Drivers License would be an asset
- Must provide a police record check and consent to a provincial Child Abuse registry check
