Position Title: Team Lead – Isobel’s Place
Classification: Term Full-Time to January 12, 2026

Background:
The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre is currently seeking an individual for the position as Site Manager. The APSP strives to provide a nurturing and safe environment for pregnant and adolescent parents to acquire skills necessary to make informed decisions and healthy choices for themselves and their children. The program is designed to build on the capacities of children, parent, family and community through providing interactive learning experiences. The APSP site is residential care facility that operates 24 hours, seven days per week. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the supervision of Isobel’s Place and the Child Development Centre (Daycare) staff in coordination with the Child Daycare Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in establishing, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of program, policiesstandards and procedures;
- Maintains an awareness of and facilitates knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and practices of governments and external agencies that impact upon the program;
- Assists in hiring new employees;
- Provides direction and supervision of operational directive with staff;
- Assists individual staff in the assessment, review and case management plan;
- Update staff work performance;
- Identifies and arranges individual and program area training needs;
- Approves expenditures relating to the area of responsibilities;
- Maintains an accurate record of statistical and financial information.
Qualifications:
- BSW degree or acceptable equivalent and related experience;
- Ability to work under demanding conditions;
- Independent problem solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written skills;
- Understanding of Teen pregnancy in Manitoba;
- Knowledge of the Child Welfare legislation and standards would be an asset;
- Ability to set and meet deadlines;
- Residential Care facility experience would be a definite asset;
- Strong motivational and leadership skills;
- Ability to work with collateral agencies;
- A team player/facilitator in order to encourage an environment that fosters effective results in teams.
