Background:

The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre Inc. is seeking an individual for the position of a

Leadership Development Manager. The Leadership Development Manager is responsible for providing coaching to Team Leads in their leadership roles to support leadership and development skills and competencies.

Specific Accountability:

  • Fosters a culture of growth and collaboration, providing support, and sharing valuable insights to help Team Leads navigate their roles.
    • Supports leadership and professional development of Team Leads through one- one coaching and mentorship, assisting staff to identify their strengths, areas for improvement, and career aspirations.
    • Supports Team Leads to coach and mentor their teams and develop skills and capacities.
    • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement, fostering a safe space for open dialogue and reflection.
    • Collaborate with Training Manager to create and maintain career development and training opportunities.
    • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on leadership skills, effective communication, and team dynamics.
    • Assists Team Leads Team Leads in developing work plans, setting achievable goals and creating actionable plans to reach them.
    •  Monitors and assesses the progress of Team Leads, adjusting mentoring strategies as needed to ensure continuous growth.

 Skills/ Qualifications

    • A combination of education and experience in the Human Resource Field.
    • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with experience developing teams.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
    • Ability to set and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work under stressful conditions.
    • Maintain high level of independence and self- initiative.
    • Ability to meet deadlines in an effective manner.
