Welcome:
The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre (Ma Mawi) was given birth in the fall
of 1984 by committed community members who sought an
Aboriginal solution to supporting and rebuilding families.
Since that time, Ma Mawi has worked to support families to better
care for children by creating meaningful opportunities for community
and family involvement. We believe that strengthening families is a
worthy investment in the future.
By focusing on the positives and building upon individual strengths,
we have helped our families make tremendous strides in their ability
to nurture and provide secure environments for their children.
Mission:
 | | To maintain a resource centre in Winnipeg |
| | that provides culturally relevant preventive and supportive programs and services for Aboriginal families.
|
Vision:
 | | Our Vision for the community is that a safe, |
| | happy and inter-dependent community results when caring, sharing and respect are present.
